Reality TV Will Kill TNA
Along a cold Friday night, I was that dog. I was browsing the Web, talking to someone on Skype as well as watching Smackdown. All of the sudden, from the mandating tone of Michael Coles blah blah blah, I hear “WWE Tough Enough coming to the USA Network.” What? Could it be real? Can one particular of the most successful reality shows ever actually be coming back again? This is genius! WWE Hard Enough was the Survivor of Pro Wrestling or in Vince McMahon’s twisted small globe, Sports Entertainment. They took average Joe’s and Jane’s, trained them and eventually gave one particular of each gender a WWE contract. It was also such as WWE’s extremely own farm program. Taking individuals which no one’s ever heard of and produce them into Superstars. This will be pure genius on WWE’s component. Why? Here’s a little secret that WWE doesn’t desire you to recognize. THEY DON’T HIRE ONLY THE WINNER’S OF THE COMPETITION.
Within fact, they’ve held along to men who haven’t won the competition longer than the actual winners. Guys such as The Miz didn’t even produce it to the finals. Now, he’s not only in the company, because of this particular writing, he’s the WWE Champion. What’s even additional absurd is actually which Josh Matthews, who didn’t even create the competition, will be now one particular of WWE’s commentators. This particular ridiculous follow will not only help the WWE, it will also kill TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling. We view, ever since Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan took across TNA, the company has become nothing more than wrestlers either past their prime or old WWE leftovers. Meanwhile, within WWE, they are getting younger. Between the evolution of NXT, which is actually the showcasing of WWE’s talent from their minor leagues in Florida and now the rebirth of WWE Hard Enough, I believe WWE will be set for the following ten to fifteen years. Now, WWE has the own version of a major league baseball team. They get not a single but two streams of young talent at the disposal.
I was along the Pro Wrestling Illustrated blog the other day and someone was complaining around the return of Hard Enough. The person’s argument was that the display would stay compared to American Idol. My thinking is what’s incorrect with which? Is not that the American dream? To take people that no one particular has ever heard of and produce them into superstars? That’s what we live for. That’s what we thrive on because the individuals. To go right after our dreams as anything we believe we were born to perform. What I think WWE will be doing in a sense can be keeping the American dream alive for men and women who want to come to be WWE Superstars. If they are hired by WWE, outstanding. If it doesn’t function out….. Hey, there’s at all times TNA.
