Updates On Interactive Home-Based Courses In MCSE Network Technical Support

December 16, 2011 | Author: | Posted in Computers

If you’re reading this there’s a good chance that you’d like to enter the world of computers and you’ve heard good things about MCSE’s, or you’re already in a networking related industry and you know that your career is blocked until your get the Microsoft qualification.

Be sure you see evidence that your training company is educating you on the latest version from Microsoft. Many students become very demoralised when it turns out they have been studying for an old version of MCSE which inevitably will have to be up-dated. Don’t be pushed into a course without the right advice. Look for a company who will spend time helping and advising you on an appropriate training track for your needs.

We’re often asked why traditional academic studies are less in demand than the more commercial certificates? As demand increases for knowledge about more and more complex technology, the IT sector has moved to specific, honed-in training that can only come from the vendors – in other words companies such as Microsoft, CISCO, Adobe and CompTIA. This frequently provides reductions in both cost and time. Obviously, a necessary amount of background information has to be taught, but focused specifics in the exact job role gives a vendor trained person a massive advantage.

Think about if you were the employer – and you required somebody who had very specific skills. What should you do: Pore through reams of different degrees and college qualifications from several applicants, asking for course details and which trade skills they’ve acquired, or choose a specific set of accreditations that exactly fulfil your criteria, and make your short-list from that. You can then focus on how someone will fit into the team at interview – instead of having to work out if they can do the job.

Consider the facts below carefully if you’ve been persuaded that the marketing blurb about ‘guaranteeing’ exams sounds like a benefit to the student:

Clearly it’s not free – you’re still being charged for it – it’s just been included in your package price. People who take each progressive exam, funding them as they go are in a much stronger position to qualify at the first attempt. They’re conscious of their spending and take the necessary steps to make sure they’re ready.

Sit the exam somewhere close to home and find the best deal for you at the time. Paying upfront for exam fees (and if you’re financing your study there’ll be interest on that) is insane. Resist being talked into filling the training company’s account with your hard-earned cash just to give them more interest! Some will be pinning their hopes on the fact that you won’t get round to taking them – so they get to keep the extra funds. Also, you should consider what an ‘exam guarantee’ really means. Most companies won’t pay for you to re-take until you’re able to demonstrate an excellent mock pass rate.

Splashing out often many hundreds of pounds extra on an ‘Exam Guarantee’ is short-sighted – when consistent and systematic learning, coupled with quality exam simulation software is actually the key to your success.
