Taylor Swift Tour Dates 2011-Asian Tour Ends
Its February 23, 2011 and Taylor Swift is just finishing up the Asian part of her world tour. One has only to look at Taylors schedule to realize that she is one hard working woman . She is certain to get record setting attendance wherever she goes. She is officially an international star to be reckoned with.
Before she took the stage in Hong Kong, Taylor received platinum sales plaques from Asian music executives. Her previous album “Fearless” sold over 400,000 copies in the regionand her new album “Speak Now” is also reaching platinum status in South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia and Phillipines. Taylor told the associated press, “Some of them were really surprising to me.it really blew my mind.”
Taylors music is a hybrid of different styles. Some people label her country but in actuality she is defining a new form of pop music that is hers alone. She is proud of her country roots however. “I love country music, and I love the fact that it’s being accepted all over the world. That is so exciting for me,”
Taylors real secret weapon is her ability to connect with so many young teens. By being open and truthful with them and expressing her emotions in a way they understand, she has established a relationship that is unique. Many of her fans feel that Taylor is a friend. It is typical for fans to say they want to meet her or hang out with her. Taylor has responded to that by making it a point to meet as many of her fans as feasible. In fact, Taylor pops up in several places in the audience during her tour to perform a few songs and the reaction is incredible.
Taylor did have a tiny bit of time for fun and relaxation while in the orient. She sampled local cuisine, shopped, and even went to a beach. When she is not playing she relaxes , and even composes more songs. “Speak Now” was created entirely during her free time during the last tour. Yes, one hard working woman indeed.
Taylor will come back briefly to the U.S. before commencing the European part of her tour. Her tour in the U.S. begins in May. The tour at this point goes right through the month of October, and they are adding venues all the time. It is speculated that this tour may extend right into 2012.
